I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
